Add Redundancy to your Weakest Link

The most failure prone component of your communications network is the "loop" or the "last mile" of your telecom circuit. You can significantly decrease the probability of a telephone or internet outage by adding a second distinct communications line to your business. Monmouth Telecom recommends that both connections ride over completely separate networks so that it would be extremely rare that you would lose both at the same time, which is the whole point. The advantage of cable failover is that there is no commonality between the T1 infrastructure of Verizon and the infrastructure of the cable company. This represents a big leap in continuous availability for your telecommunications.

Compatibility

Monmouth Telecom provides telephone and internet redundancy through any combination of T1, Fiber, and/or Cable connections. With the advent of voice-over-ip we can configure both your primary and your backup connections to support your voice and your internet. For your business this means that even in disaster scenarios you will be able to continue business as usual. The cable connection can either be customer supplied or Monmouth Telecom supplied. A customer supplied cable connection must have a static IP address to support the failover option.

Achieve High Reliability without High Costs or Complexity

Historically the incremental cost of adding a distinct physical communications line was high. The technology required to achieve automatic failover was also available to only large enterprises maintaining costly IT staff. Today with inexpensive cable connections you can add a secondary communications line to your network without prohibitive cost. Monmouth Telecom installs and maintains a network router, which provides the failover capability at no additional cost.
